About

Nedap is a company which have a security based product on the market which is named AEOS. AEOS fullfills the needs of high-secured buildings like banks, lockers, doors etc. AEOS makes it very easy for the administrator to give permissions to every individual of each team to open doors.

Problem

Nedap has partners to sell AEOS to customers. To be able to sell AEOS, the partners should know everything about it before trying to attract customers. Nedap has a lot of files with information about AEOS to help the partners out, but the files were simply uploaded to a file manager, which made it very difficult to find files for the partners to presentate and convince customers to buy it. This lead to a lot of frustrations and disrupted the sell-process.

My task

  • User research
  • User flows
  • Prototyping
  • Usability testing
  • Present end results with stakeholders

My task was to find the problems which occured in the process of finding files and presentating it to end-customers. This was done by the Design Thinking method which allowed me to research every aspect of the users and finally design a high-fidelity prototype which solves the problem that they experience.

Reseach

Before every design proces, its crucial to do research. The research will eventually get you to a possible solution which fits the needs of your users. In the research phase I executed the following methods:

  • Interviews
  • Contextual Inquiry
  • Literature Study
  • Competition Analysis

This lead to alot of insights which I’ve defined using a persona and a Experience map (customer journey)

Ideation

After grouping all the insights I’ve invited stakeholders for an ideation session where I centered a ‘How Might We’ (HMW) question. Every participant then started to write their possible solutions for the problem stated in the HMW question. We ended with the ideas listed below.

  • Chatbot
  • Helping Hand
  • Knowledge Center
  • Onboarding
  • Search Assistent
  • Progress Meter

User flows

From wireframes to high-fildelity

The prototypes were made in low- mid and high prototype which each was tested with users. The feedback was applied on each test and resulted in a final prototype which was handed to Nedap.
